Kochi offers its residents public transport options

Kochi offers its residents public transport options including city buses (KSRTC and Private Buses), Metro rail (KMRL), Kochi Water Metro (KWML) and intercity buses. Last-mile connectivity is supported by autos, taxis, ride-hailing apps, feeder buses, shared bicycles, and rental scooters.

Ongoing and planned transport projects include Metro expansion, the Smart City Project, Water Metro connections, canal rejuvenation for inland navigation, a feeder bus system, and electric autos by KMRL. Road widening, additional bridges in GIDA, and CCTV-enabled traffic management are also underway.
